Dear Buena Park Families,

It was a privilege to attend the fourth annual Superintendent's Soccer Cup and experience once again the power of this program. The coaches and students have been hard at work for weeks, focusing on how to communicate, how to control the ball and pass it to teammates, and how to work through difficult drills together. During the final tournament, these efforts were on display as vividly as the colorful uniforms, the pulsing music, the cheerleaders with pom-poms, and the parents with cowbells. And there was something more, something that the coaches instilled in the players less by drill than by osmosis, by breathing it in as part of the program's culture. That "something" is the true spirit of sportsmanship....
