Buena Park District takes pride in offering a benefits program that provides flexibility for the diverse and changing needs of our employees. The District offers employees and their family members a full range of benefits. You choose the options that best meet your needs.
When applying, please note that current 1040 tax form is required for married couples unless recently married, then the marriage license is accepted. Copies of birth certificate for each child is required as well.
The Buena Park School District health and welfare benefits package includes medical, dental, vision and life insurance coverage for full-time or part-time employee who is regularly scheduled to work as defined by the current Collective Bargaining Agreement on file with the Bargaining Unit and with us.

Employee Assistance Program:
The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provides employees and their household members with free, confidential assistance to help with personal or professional problems that may interfere with work or family responsibilities and obligations. Services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week via a toll-free nationwide number. Employees and their household members can receive up to 6 counseling sessions per person, per problem, per year.

You may purchase individual Life policies from Reliance Life Insurance, enrollment form on the right.
American Fidelity provides Disability Income Insurance, Basic Cancer, Limited Benefit Accident Only Insurance, Life Insurance (term, whole and permanent), and 403(b) Tax-Deferred Annuities (fixed and Variable). Paying for your coverage:
The Dental, Vision (employee only), Basic Life, AD&D, Employee Assistance Program benefits are provided at no cost to you and are paid entirely by Buena Park School District. You and the District share in the cost of the Medical and Vision (family) benefits you elect. The Voluntary benefits you elect will be paid by you at discounted group rates. Your Medical and Vision contributions can be deducted before taxes, and can be withheld which saves you tax dollars. Paying for benefits before‐tax means that your share of the costs is deducted before taxes are determined, resulting in more take‐home pay for you. As a result, the IRS requires that your elections remain in effect for the entire year. You cannot drop or change coverage unless you experience a status change. This benefit is arranged through American Fidelity.
