Programs and Services

The Buena park School District Special Education department is part of the North Orange County Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA).  Our department provides a continuum of special education services delivered in a variety of settings to enable students to receive educational benefit in the least restrictive environment. Our special education programs serve eligible students with mild to intensive needs ranging from preschool to eighth grade. All special education services are individualized through the student's Individualized Education Program (IEP). The IEP process is student-centered and is focused on student’s strengths, unique needs, goals, and necessary services and supports.

If you would like more information about the special education referral and assessment process, and special education programs and services, please contact the school psychologist at your child’s school or the District Office at (714) 736-4257.
